Here Come The Custom RTX 4090s

Move Over FE, Here Comes The OEM Versions

If the $1600 price tag on the RTX 4090 FE gave you sticker shock the prices on the OEM versions are going to be bad for your blood pressure.  The various versions of the RTX 4090 you will find below start at an MSRP of $1600 and go up from there, thankfully none are pegged at the $2000 level that rumours suggested could be common.  We are starting out with a watercooled version from MSI, but there are numerous others to take a look at.

The MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X is one of the more expensive choices, but adding in watercooling and slimming down the card to two slots may be worth $1750 for some.  The watercooling doesn’t make this the fastest of the OEM cards, average clock speeds of 2985MHz on the GPU and 1470MHz for VRAM after overclocking doesn’t even match the FE frequencies.  However the cooling does allow the card to maintain lower temperatures and TechPowerUp were please to hear no noise from the pump under load.

The effective cooling and slight power draw increase do let the MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X outperform the RTX 4090 FE overall, which you can see in their full review.
